Excuses & Justifications

Each one of us has goals in our head that are so big and overwhelming that we dare not say them out loud for fear of falling short. What's yours?

And if you refuse to answer that question, what excuses do you give yourself for playing within your comfort zone?

How do you justify not declaring your goals, when there are so many resources to support you in fulfilling on them?

Being with Seth Godin this week is pushing me so far out on the skinny branches that I'm shaking in my boots. And that's who I want to be for you. I want Badass Business Women to be a catalyst that pushes you out onto the skinny branches in your job or in your business, then nurtures you as you make that leap.

  4. Dear Jessica,

I was out on the skinny branches before they even heard of Seth Godin. I didn't know any better. Now I lay low to watch all the incredible talent emerge. My job is to help the lost find their way. And encourage them that if I can do it so can they.

But hey, there are still a few skinny branches I want to explore.

Great conversation! You are one of my new heros. Even before I met you!

    Take care, girlfriend,

    Heidi

  5. Rare air indeed out on those skinny branches. Also a great place to avoid the fat angry squirrels of the world. They tend to sink like stones.

  6. Jess,
You are truly inspirational, as far as goals go reach higher than you ever want to achieve because once you achieve the goals your fear tells you it over....HAHAHA it's never over just keep creating and obtaining then recreate and generate and soon you'll be a master....You know your a master when what you've created is recreated better than what you've created.....The Art of Mastery......
