This week I bought a donkey in Burkina for $140. I named it Thunder.
Why?
There's a group of women I met who have joined forces to grow a vegetable garden. They use the proceeds to put each other's kids through school, pay for medical emergencies, and buy stuff like soap and spices...things that their husbands can't afford. They said they needed an work animal so they could dramatically increase the harvest of their farm.
Those women were clear about what they needed. They asked for it.
Are you clear about what you need in your business? Have you ASKED FOR IT?
Because I assert that there are other Badass Business Women out there who would love the opportunity to help you succeed. Chances are you don't need a donkey named Thunder. But what exactly do you need?

ReplyDeleteA "BadAss" business woman buys a (presumably) Good Ass for business women...LOVE that!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I need is to partner with BadAss business women like you, and your new entrepreneurial friends in Burkina, the type who seize on a dream and hold on with the stubbornness of a donkey named Thunder until they accomplish it, together.
Jess, it's a joy being in your world!
This was such a wonderful thing for you to do! God bless you for being so generous. I had tears in my eyes as you told this story at the Empowed Women's Conference.
